Kolton Maguire
Owner, Head Instructor
8+ Years Coaching Experience | Former Professional Defenceman
As the Owner and Head Instructor of MAGS Hockey Training, I bring over eight years of coaching and instructional experience to the ice. My journey in hockey has taken me through four years of junior hockey and three years as a professional defenceman in the United States. Today, I continue to stay active in the game, playing Senior (semi-professional) hockey locally in Ontario, constantly learning and growing from both the player and coach perspectives.
Throughout my coaching career, I’ve worked with and have helped advance players across all levels, from beginners and adult recreational players to elite athletes in the OHL and OJHL. I’ve coached teams at the A, AA, and AAA levels, and my passion lies in helping players develop the core skills that make a real difference on the ice. My areas of expertise include shooting, passing, puck control, stickhandling, scanning, and position-specific training for defensemen.
At MAGS Hockey Training, I’m committed to providing high-level, personalized development to players of all ages and skill levels. Whether you're just starting out or pushing for the next level, I’m here to help you unlock your potential.
